This degree is for new or recent graduates looking for a career-focused master’s that will enable you to bring knowledge and expertise to your future public health careers. It is also suitable for individuals already working in the public health field for career progression, learning, and development. It’s ideal preparation for those planning to take the UK Faculty of Public Health Diplomate Examination.

To be eligible for this master’s, you should have:
  • A minimum of an upper second-class degree or an overseas qualification of an equivalent standard in a relevant subject (social, life, biomedical or clinical sciences).
  • All applicants must show evidence of numeracy (e.g. AS/A level Mathematics/Statistics or at least one mathematical/statistics/quantitative module with a first-class or 2:1 mark in the module or overseas equivalent).

Candidates who do not meet the academic standard and/or subject backgrounds but who have more than two years of relevant professional experience (can be a combination of voluntary and paid work) may be considered for admission.

You can choose to study this master’s full-time in just one year or opt for the part-time option, which will take you two years to complete. By the end, you’ll also earn 180 university credits.
