Additional information

To join this course, you’ll need an honours degree or Level 6 equivalent qualification in any discipline and a digital portfolio reflecting your technical aptitude and current illustration practice. If you don’t have a formal qualification, Falmouth University still encourages non-standard applicants to apply.

If English is not your first language, you’ll need to demonstrate an English language level equivalent to IELTS 6.5 or above, with a minimum of 5.5 for writing, reading and listening, and 6.0 for speaking.

This course meets you where you are in life, allowing you the flexibility to work through modules part-time over two years. You’ll complete five modules, including a final project, consisting of approximately 15 weeks of study each. While you can complete this online degree at your own pace, it’s encouraged that you dedicate at least 20-25 hours per week to your studies.

You’ll be assessed through practical assignments, such as building a robust portfolio and creating a self-promotion strategy that can be used during networking activities, as well as via written assignments, including reflective journals and reports.

You’ll learn from a blend of lectures, webinars, guest talks, and creative practice, via Falmouth University’s cutting-edge virtual learning environment.
